| Born in Japan, Tenma was part of a home-run medical clinic. With an older brother to run the business after his father's retirement, Kenzo knew he would have to find his own way to becoming a success. He never seemed to have it that easy growing up and eventually lost connections with his family, who ushered him to return when he traveled out to study abroad. Recognized at a young age for his superb talents, his father understood how useful his son could still be in the family business but Tenma was reluctant to do so. To remedy the tension in the family, Tenma found himself amazed with a thesis written about the proper care for Alzheimer's patients written by a Dussledorf Medical Proffessor, Udo Heinmann. |
Eager to study and expand in such areas himself, Tenma managed all the costs to make it as a student at the Dussledorf University and became an continuously outstanding student. While it seems Tenma continued to be an outcast in the social light, both in Japan and Germany, Tenma continued to work hard and maintain the standards he set for himself, eventually earning an engagement and the proposed idea of becoming Chief of Surgery at the Eisler Memorial Hospital in Dussledorf. After disobeying direct orders from Dr. Heinemann, he lost both his engagement and the promised position. Tenma fell into a slump but the only thing that lifted his spirits was following his moral to save a young boy's life. |
